Cheryl has been on Kauai for over 20 years and came into the CPR business as a result of a position as Regional Director for the American Heart Association. During this time she reestablished a large group of volunteers and built the Board of Directors. During her tenure there, it was nearly a daily routine for someone to call and inquire "Where can I get my CPR?" At that time, all that was available was a list of names & phone numbers. She knew there had to be a better way.
At some point, the decision was made to close all small, regional branches. Kauai was among them. Cheryl and her husband, Steve, both became AHA CPR instructors and launched Hearts4kauai. Eleven years later, she took a step back to work part-time to assist Jamie, the current owner and manager of the business.
